ExtrasJar had secured its own Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), bringing the business one step closer to offering an innovative product for saving and paying for healthcare.

ExtrasJar has re-imagined health insurance by offering an innovative solution to save and pay for healthcare ancillary services (extras), such as dental treatments. Savings for extras will be invested and customers will be able to access their investments at the point of sale to pay for extras, a unique feature.

John Connor, Co-founder of ExtrasJar said, “We are taking on the healthcare affordability crisis. Affordability and limited coverage are significant pain points. So many of us are continually surprised at the point of sale about how little we get back after paying premiums for years. I call this the “out of pocket surprise”. It’s time to give power back to the customer.”

Reece Frazier, Co-founder of ExtrasJar said, “We have been working hard with the vision to build an award-winning product which the whole team can be proud of! We are very excited as we hit key milestones, like securing our own AFSL. We are looking forward to making our vision a reality over the next few months.”

ExtrasJar was founded in August 2019 by Reece Frazier and John Connor, passionate founders with extensive experience in financial services and technology.  ExtrasJar’s licence was approved on 4th March 2022. The team continues to grow and bolster its expertise and are gearing up for launch.
