‍After settling on your desired plan, it's time to set up your ExtrasJar Health Savings Account. Once you initiate this, EJ, our digital assistant, will inquire if you already possess an account.

New Account Creation

‍For those new to ExtrasJar:

• Select the "Nope" option when asked if you have an account.
• You'll then be presented with the account setup form.
• Input a unique email address and a secure password.
• Hit the "Create Account" button.
• Provide essential contact details: first name, last name, and contact number.

For Returning Users:

‍If you've previously set up an account:

• Choose the "Yes" option when EJ prompts you.
• Proceed to log into your existing account with your credentials.

As we need to verify your account and facilitate payment setups, all these procedures are safeguarded within your personal account. This setup also grants you the flexibility to initiate the process and return at a later time, should you have other commitments.

Gather Necessary Documents

‍Ensure you have an unexpired, valid form of identification on hand. Acceptable forms include a driver’s licence, passport, or Medicare card.

Begin the Verification Process

• Click on the “Start Identity Verification” button located at the page's bottom.
• Select the type of ID you intend to use.
• Diligently fill in all requisite fields with your personal details. This includes the information as it appears on your ID, your date of birth, and your residential address.
• Before proceeding, review and affirm the accuracy of the data you've provided.

Await Our Response

‍Once your information is submitted, you'll receive an acknowledgment email from us, signalling the receipt of your ExtrasJar Health Savings Account application. Typically, our verification process is swift, taking between 10 to 30 seconds. However, in certain instances where complications arise, the process might extend to 3 business days.

Confirmation Email

‍After the ExtrasJar team evaluates your submitted data, we'll dispatch an email to inform you of one of two outcomes:

1. Successful creation of your account.
2. The inability to process your application.

In cases where an account isn't processed due to erroneous completion, bank restrictions on direct debit, or incorrect account details, we will promptly reach out. If such a scenario unfolds, it will be necessary to commence the application procedure anew.

ExtrasJar is required by law to obtain, verify, and record your information during the account set-up. As you know, this process is automated, but you may be required to provide additional information in certain circumstances. Access the Direct Debit Setup

‍From your dashboard, click on the “Set up your Direct Debit” option.

Fill in Your Direct Debit Details

• Carefully enter the necessary information into the provided form.
• Once completed, click on “Submit payment details”.

Acceptance of Terms

• Ensure you read and understand the stipulated terms.
• Confirm your agreement by ticking all the checkboxes.
• Finalize the process by selecting “Yes, sign me up”. If everything is in order, you'll receive a 'thank you' message. If there's an error, a corresponding message will appear, guiding you on the next steps.

Await Bank Processing

‍It's essential to understand that setting up a direct debit requires a processing time of approximately 3 business days on the bank's end. Once cleared, your inaugural investment in the ExtrasJar Fund will be initiated. Subsequently, we'll forward instructions detailing how to integrate your card with your digital wallet.

Points to Remember:

• Direct debit will be the principal payment mode for all upcoming investment dealings with ExtrasJar.
• Not all accounts or financial institutions accommodate direct debit. It's prudent to verify with your bank if uncertain. In the event your account doesn't support direct debits, or if you've entered incorrect details, your payment cannot be processed.
• Security and trustworthiness are cornerstones of our service. While your direct debit is coordinated directly with the trustee, ExtrasJar remains without access to your capital. This framework maximises security for you, albeit sometimes leading to slight delays.
