ExtrasJar was featured on Ticker News, a world news channel that covers various beats, including business. Their “Ticker Insight” of ExtrasJar is about disrupting insurance expectations as frustration grows among customers wanting extras.

One of ExtrasJar’s founders, Reece Frazier, discussed the current issues in the insurance industry, particularly about health extras coverage and premiums of insurers. These matters were those that they wanted to address that’s why ExtrasJar was established with a revolutionary approach to properly cater for the healthcare needs of Aussies.

“Insurance takes a large portion of our wallet. And for many Australians, most who are paying $1200 a year on extras are getting a lot less back as a benefit. Let’s say you paid [that amount] for 10 years and never needed [an] optical, but now, you’re 10 years older and you [need it already]. When you get a benefit, you might only get around $500 for that year,” said Frazier.

He added: “At ExtrasJar, we believe that 10 years of paying should still be there for you. Now that you’re older and you need those glasses, you have this extra you can use to pay for [all the cost] at your favourite provider.”

Aside from this, Frazier also discussed the upcoming addition to ExtrasJar’s products which is hospital cover. While it also has the same cover as the others, the difference with ExtrasJar is its unique self-insurance deposit service.

“The benefit of [a] self-insurance deposit is it will reduce your premium substantially. And if you don’t need a claim, that (money) will roll over year after year to bring that cost down over time,” he explained.

ExtrasJar maintains an approach where customers are in control of their money because it’s theirs after all. We want to make them feel that they’re paying less and gaining more, especially when their funds are unused.

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share what ExtrasJar can give to an established news outlet such as Ticker News. This will surely help us spread the word to our fellow Australians on how we can help them with their finances and healthcare needs through our revolutionary approach.
